How to put a shortcut to the E-letter on your desktop.

In Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox in Windows

open the E-Letter at www.seniornetwarkworth.org/E-Letter.htm  and half minimise the webpage so you can see some of your desktop • highlight the address (URL) in the address bar • drag and drop the highlighted text onto the desktop, and you are done.

[Make sure you drag the URL (the address in the address bar) not the text of the webpage]

[The refresh tool is a circular arrow in the toolbar at the left hand end]

In Microsoft Internet Explorer open the E letter at www.seniornetwarkworth.org/E-Letter.htm

and Save as a bookmark,

and with IE half minimised so you can see some of the desktop, drag the bookmark to the desktop.

In Apple Safari in OS X click Bookmarks / Add Bookmark  Type the name for this bookmark (e.g. E-letter) in the first box.
The default location (second box) is the Bookmarks Bar which is appropriate.
Click Add.
T
he E-Letter can now be opened from Bookmarks / Bookmarks bar.

[The refresh tool is a circular arrow at the right of the address bar]

The latest newsletter for Term 1 2012 is now available as a webpage so does not need a reader. Click on the Newsletter button to go there.  We plan to send out a newsletter next week

We suggest you make a shortcut on your desktop to allow you to access the E-letter with one click. You will then be able to open the E-letter to see if it is updated.  Look in the blue panel at the left to see how to do it.   Identify which web browser you use (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc) and follow the instructions. It really is simple.

Monday Workshops start at 2.30 p.m. sharp, and frequently will be of interest to those with a PC or a Mac.

The cost is $5.00 for each participant, payable at the learning session, and we expect  that you will wear your name badge, proving current membership and your entitlement to be there.
